We get like 10-15 crap cold winter rainy days a year

I'm not talking about winter, I'm talking about summer.

Summer in the south is fricking miserable.

It gets hot up north too.

It was an 80 degree night in Charlotte. I took a walk then grilled out and ate outside. I do that 75% of summer.

Granted, it helps that my back yard is totally shaded after about 5 pm.

But again, why does summer need to the best season? 9 months out of 12 are far superior down here than the Midwest

Grew up in Louisiana but have been in Wisconsin for a few years. I do not mind the cold - actually kind of like it so far. It will take a while for the novelty of me ice skating on local ponds/lakes to wear off.

I also never really hated hot Louisiana summers. I still find it weird how I can spend all day outside in the summer here are not break a sweat. People here complain anytime it's over 80 degrees which always makes me chuckle.

What is waaaay worse than the cold up north is the short days. I will never get used to going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.
