The lower ninth looked 100x's better 20 years ago. It looks war torn now. (I'm not saying it wasn't ghetto then, but there is no comparison.)

It's very obvious it's only going to continue to get worse. The city's best days are far in the rear view mirror.

Exactly. Now I'm no naive MFer. I was concerned taking kids down there amid the brazen carjackings lately.
They're all teenagers and I told them to keep eyes peeled.
But the results were simply amazing experiences.
On the way home, they all shared the sentiment that we're fortunate to live so close to one of the world's greatest cities.

New Orleans is still special.
