They signed up for service. Entergy still has to pay for upkeep of the infrastructure that provides them that power even if they choose not to use any.

$115 is excessive but it shouldnt be $0 either

Or pass that expense to the consumer like they're doing now.

What do you think is a fair price for infrastructure for one house in a subdivision? That is $1380/year infrastructure per house for the life of the neighborhood provided the infrastructure prices don't go up.

They have to cancel service not to be billed. Once service is cut no bill.

There is always a minimum bill if you have service connected but it’s usually around 50 dollars. 115 is steep

I pay $5/month for the gas at my shop in the summer.

Gas is only used for the in floor heat so is turned off 7 months of the year.

I have an empty house in nola, just the meter. For the last 18 months my bill was $30 a mo. I got a bill last wk and it is $170. Something is not right.
