No need to nerd out. It's Kareem. He is still the all-time leading scorer in the NBA. That makes him the best.

What should it be? An eye test where people remember a player being a great scorer, and forget when the player misses shots?

It's absurd that people think that Kobe should be in the conversation for best scorer ever. Also, we need at minimum a definition of what the OP is considering a for his term "scorer", but regardless of what it is, there's no way that Kobe should fall into the top 5. It's crazy how much Kobe's legacy has been inflated since his death. Prior to that, almost no one (other than his stans) had him in the top 10 all-time, but now I'm seeing it more and more. He was a Great Value brand Jordan
