The 2016 election. Initially I wasn't even supporting Trump. Then I saw the depths to which the establishment was willing to go to keep him from getting the Republican nomination and then being elected. All because he wasn't one of them and couldn't be bought. If Trump did nothing else, and I submit he was the best president of my lifetime, he pulled back the curtains and exposed that Washington DC is rotten to the core.

Started with Brexit and then Trump getting elected. It was statistically impossible for the polls to be that wrong on those events, yet I had institutional consultants telling me neither had a chance. I knew the system was broken, and it opened my eyes to how corrupt the US really is.
