If Texas left (which is a bad idea on its own), it would be stupid to take the smaller states with us. Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and other southern states are just welfare states that drag the country down.

Texas has zero desire to “take any states with us.”
And in several states, their constitutions deem such a separation illegal.
The entire TEXIT movement is directed at Texans governing themselves.
That said, the PTB who have been working towards Texas secession for years completely support—and would willingly assist—any other state seeking to gain sovereignty from an overbearing, tyrannical fedgov.

Thats fine. You cant have none of our timber, limestone, coal, or iron ore and stay the frick off our beaches.
You should also take down all statues and rename the counties named after the southern boys that took Texas away from Mexico.

Well if the states become sovereign nations they would have all the power they need to shed the draining and violent portion of their populations.

Not if those states abolish welfare. If you want a free ride you need to move to a blue state. People here need to work in order to have what they want.

A coalition between Louisiana and Mississippi would control the exports out of New Orleans and essentially all traffic on the Mississippi River. You add texas, bama, Florida and now you control the gulf and all trading with Mexico.
