I don’t have a problem with putting it to a vote, I just think it’s weird that you do. Optimistic projections are that, at most, 30% of voters in a statewide election would support this. And I find that number extremely generous myself, given I don’t believe it factors in how many fearful voters would truly turn out against the proposal. The turnout in the blue metro areas would be at an all time high, higher than even any national election.
You must realize this will get crushed if it ever gets to a vote and would squash the ambiguities that the movement currently relies on. A vote would show just how unpopular this idea truly is among the mainstream public and what little traction it may have had dies.
