If the B10 thinks adding the likes of UCLA and GT will "beat" the SEC well...good luck.

no idea what this means

1) it's a never ending race to become more influential/richer, etc. there's no defined time limit as to when the "race" will end

2) as a UM fan, why would I want to add another heavyweight to the mix and almost assure another conference loss

3) the B1G is a very prestigious conference academically. when ucla and usc join in 2024, 15 of the 16 will be AAU members, which is a requirement to join the big 10 (nebraska was an AAU member when they applied to join, but had their membership removed a year later)

GT is regarded as a top flight research institution, and would be seen not only as adding to the big 10's academic glory, but also as a gateway for the current members to go to a recruiting hotbed

If the Big10 added Georgia Tech along with USC and UCLA they'd have 10 of their member institutions ranked inside the Top 50. SEC has 10 schools ranked outside the Top 100.

As I recall the reason they lost it is the medical school is located in Omaha, not Lincoln.

The Nebraska university system seems similar to Wisconsin's at a quick glance. What every one calls UW is actually UW-Madison, just like Nebby is UN-Lincoln. They also have a UN-Omaha while there are a number of UW schools including UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay.
