Colt 1851 Navy

This is a 2nd Generation gun made in the early 70’s.
Blackpowder. 7 1/2” blue barrel, wedge, and engraved cylinder. Case hardened frame, hammer, and loading ram. Silver plated gripframe (with tarnish). One piece grips. Never fired, with box and paperwork.
.36 Caliber
This is the same model gun used by Wild Bill Hickok, Buffalo Bill, and throughout the War Between the States.

I really like those old Colts. Bought a model 1860 Army recently that has not been delivered yet. Was built in 1863.

Good many of those were bought just for collections. People thought they were cool looking they had no intention of shooting them.

Well, those have damage from being dropped too. I have a 1977 Dan Wesson Pistol Pak that has never been fired.
