Yeah, they’ve been leaving in droves for many years, mostly for the reasons you listed.
Let’s not forget the absolute ridiculousness of the NIET rubric. It’s no more objective as an observation tool than previous methods, not to mention that it’s literally impossible to hit all of those targets. I could teach the same lesson for three different observers and have VERY different scores, which is the opposite of what a rubric is designed to do. Hell, those doing observations can barely watch the lesson. They’re just madly scribbling notes the whole time.
