The requirement for rape victims is that charges must have been pressed against the rapist. The reason for this requirement is that women lie their asses off all the time.

One of my classmates spent a weekend in jail, because his ex girlfriend made a false accusation against him.
The police dropped all charges the following Monday. He easily proved that he was out of state at the time of the alleged assault. But UVA wouldn’t let him return to school. He had to hire lawyers, and it took him a year to get readmitted.
They fought him all the way.
