Latoya got 48,750 votes in a city of 383,997 people. 87.3% of the people did NOT vote for Latoya.
The problem is that apparently about 80% of the city didn't even vote at all.

There is definitely a lack of voter participation, along with the lack of a decent candidate to run against Latoya the last time around.
I think the City is getting a very frightening lesson of what having a "progressive" mayor and DA actually means in practice. The white liberals in uptown and the garden district are the ones who delivered the votes to get Latoya and Jason Williams elected. They are the same people who keep voting for all these millage increases to raise property taxes. They are fools. Hopefully a lot of them move north or out west after the Dobbs decision.
