Get a pistol with a locking safety....I have a Glock with the trigger safety only, and it scares me. Just me opinion.
Concur with this. When I do open carry (not often, but usually in the woods), it is a Glock 17, but for concealed carry, I'd want a locking safety.

I carry a Glock 19 concealed everyday..trigger doesn’t squeeze itself.

You carry the pistol in a holster (that is made for that particular weapon) which covers the trigger, Then you don't fiddle with it.
There are literally millions of Glocks, M&P, and SIG pistols with no mechanical/external safeties, bought for self-defense purposes. There are even more millions of revolvers that don't have external safeties.
These things don't go "bang" unless you pull the trigger. But when you pull the trigger, they do go bang. That's a great system for a self-defense pistol.
