Pretty much. As the women are pulled back for various parts of the procedure, we just got to talking rather than sobbing quietly.

Maybe, but wouldn't it have been awkward if OP was in the waiting room asking everyone why they were getting an abortion. One couple was like, my baby has spinal bifida, and the next couple was like, my baby has a slim chance of making it if he's born, and the next couple is like I didn't pull out fast enough.
