just found out about this band.
I’ve been listening to them for about 3 years now. So fricking good and creative. They take influence from pop and edm a lot but that is 4 virtuoso level guys making some amazing music.
Maybe not as complicated and impressive as Animals as Leaders but definitely more listenable
ETA the are playing House of Blues Jul 29 so do yourself a favor

Polyphia's style has evolved so much from starting as a djent/shred/metal project. Very cool to see where they've been from album to album.
Tim Henson is basically a savant and doing things never really done before on guitar, but actually I prefer Scott's riffs and solos.
Their style really turned into what it is now after they toured with Chon (another great listen). I prefer the Muse/Renaissance version as most of their stuff is starting to sound similar now, but they've blown up lately.
The band opening for them at HOB Unprocessed has a guitarist who does a lot of cool tapping and harmonics, he's worth a watch also.
In past 6 months have seen Intervals x2 and Animals as Leaders so adding Polyphia is cherry on top.
