Mohonk Mountain resort

Talk to me about Mohonk Mountain resort in upstate NY. Has anyone been there? Thoughts? Have you combined it with a trip to NYC? If so, did you start or finish in NYC? Has anyone been there in December? Thanks!

I was just in Beacon yesterday and today but I can't speak to winter things. It is amazingly beautiful up here. But bars close at 10 pm and food is pretty bland. The waiter where I ate last night had the cooks mix up a chipotle aioli for my burger since he knew I was from Texas. People are really nice up here but also weird if you try to talk to them and they aren't expecting it.
