I don't believe we are getting Ricky Collins or any other QB, for that matter, in this 2023 recruiting cycle.

Why? Because unless a new recruit can beat out Walker Howard, which is highly unlikely, the earliest they can possibly see the field to start for LSU is in their fifth red shirt senior season in 2027.

Hence, common sense dictates not to do that to yourself unless you are stupid enough to not be aware of the situation as Eli Holstein appears to be in his commitment to Alabama.

Now in the 2024 recruiting cycle, on the other hand, it will be imperative for LSU to do whatever is necessary to get the best QB recruit possible to commit to LSU.

What?
They could be starting in 26 if Howard goes pro
Actually Howard could win the job in 23, be a stud in 24 then go pro

So a QB we sign in 23 will be in their 3rd or 4th year with a good chance to start

Except all top football schools in the country usually get a top 10 qb every single year.
