An apology... an explanation and resolve

Last night, I posted some negative things on this board regarding Coach Miles and the football team. I have already apologized for that. Shortly after posting my comments I realized that it had to stop. I think it's obvious from my posts that I'm not sold on Coach Miles. I'm sorry for feeling that way but, it's my opinion. I think he is a very good recruiter but, I'm not totally sold on his coaching ability. Why is that? Probably because I feel like we've gotten lucky in some big games and, Coach Miles does not make sense when speaking to the media at times. Yes, I know, he has a great record. I know that. Which probably means he is a good coach even if I question it. But, not of that really matters. The face is, HE IS THE COACH. I love LSU... I don't handle losses very well and that's because I probably like this stuff more than I should. But, I was wrong to make the posts I made and... just for the record, my resolved came BEFORE Hatch threw to Dickson for the TD. Now... if you want to tar & feather me for my previous posts or this post... that's your deal. I felt I should acknowledge my mistake and move on. I was wrong. I apologize for it and resolve to refrain from that kind of thing in the future. Go Tigers.

Well, the truth being said, many of have felt the same way at times. But as far as coach Miles being lucky, I think it was coach Bryant who basically said one time, "I'd rather be lucky than good".

I realize you are apologizing but I still think you're an idiot.

you're entitled to your opinion. you need to take this into consideration- miles kicked off, arguably, his best player and is still 5 and 1.

Way to man up. Just remember the harder you work, the luckier you get.

Maybe you'll feel better about all of this when you grow up.

Stop being a fruit and stand up for your beliefs. You can not like Miles if you want, nobody really gives a sh!t.
P.S. I will take getting "lucky" in countless meaningful football games for a 4 year stretch.

Kind of like George W. It's his personality. Not everyone can talk like a coon arse.

I probably am... regarding football at least. I'm satisfied Les Miles has to know more than me... That's why I posted my apology. .

I commend you for actually manning up and admitting that. Some others need to look to you for example.
The thing is though, that maybe you're setting too high of expectations on LSU. I'm not talking about SEC or National Titles. I'm talking about expecting every single game to be flawless, a blowout, Va Tech style games. Those games happen once in a while. Florida had one against us last weekend. Sometimes you need luck on your side. Almost every single team I've seen win a National Title, Superbowl, World Series, NBA World Championship, etc. has had just a little luck on their side at one time or another. Well, maybe except for the Yankees when Babe Ruth was playing...

You're right... I admire him for taking that stand because the day he made that decision he probably knew he may throwing away a shot at an SEC championship this year.

pathetic. You have unrealistic expectations of what an LSU coach should accomplish. No prior coach has brought the level of success which LSU has enjoyed while here. If you're hung up on how he sounds to the media, you're probably also one of those fans who equate how demonstrative a coach as the only gauge to his ability. Why don't you ask the players or our asst. coaches what they think of him? This team came out with plenty of heart last night when they could have been down from the UF game.

I've heard & read that the players, especially, really like him. And, yes, I do like to see some intensity out of a coach at times. I agree that in the 2nd half, we showed up.
