A different view of the same house
and other photos showing the destruction of the road system.
A lot of the roads were built back in CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) days in the Depression. A lot of the bulkheads built then have held up to the flood, but some of the failures are due to the river path changing.
Compared to rain in places in the Gulf Coast, that part of the park was reported to have gotten two inches. That can't be right.
