Nope, nearly all of it drains in to the Missouri and then in to the Mississippi. Theoretically, I could take a raft or kayak from the Madison all the way up the Bitteroots and make my way down to New Orleans. Might try something like that in the next few years.

My buddy put in at the Mississippi river headwaters on Thursday. Kayaking the entire distance. He's hike the PT full and half the AT. Much respect to anyone that simply attempts anything like that in full. My backpacking trip in the tetons got cut short cause of altitude sickness by anpther guy. Still got some good time in tho and an experience of being way too close to an angry moose.
