While I thought it dragged some in the middle, it had a fantastic ending. I also appreciated how they handled the Polly stuff, which had to be hard to write around.
The last episode was peak quality Peaky Blinders. Arthur, Jeremiah, and Charlie taking out the IRA folks. Billy and Finn getting exposed. Michael and Tommy’s showdown. I thought it was great, but I also knew a movie was coming for some time as they cast and writers have openly talked about it.

This season? You can't be serious. It was bar far the worst season and the last episode was about as bad as it gets. I can't even imagine a worse ending.
The story went absolutely nowhere. A whole season of Germans that just ends up being nothing. You knew Michael was going to die. Arthur was a bumbling idiot the whole season. His kid dies, his wife leaves him, he sends off his other kid and just doesn't care about any of it. He decides he's going to go off and die on his own so he has a family meal, Arthur doesn't even show up Finn either. He cared more about his random adopted kid than any other family. And the big reveal? He's not sick! What does he do? Go scare the doctor, woo hoo!
I mean I love this show, one of my all time favorites. But I'm not making any excuses for a horrible ending.
