Which is why I said 3 to 4 hours, in other words over 3 hours but under 4 hours. Just jumped on google maps and it says it'll be 3 hours & 30 minutes to Orange Beach, 3 hours & 20 minutes to Pensacola, & 3 hours & 26 minutes to the beach house we have booked for after summer camp
Only time I went over 4 hours on these trips was when I wasn't paying attention and ended up going through the tunnel while also dealing with an accident that was just on the other side of the tunnel.

I'm not a big fan of 4+ hour drives either which is why we opt for Ft Morgan
It's got seclusion, proximity to great golf, 30 minutes to the Outlet Mall, 15 minutes to a big grocery and less than 5 to a quick mart and a HUGE beach to accommodate all the guests without feeling like you're on top of each other.
