re: In Maine, a proposed $1B patriotic park will feature 1,776-foot tall flagpole

I fly an American flag for every appropriate holiday - so I'm hardly offended by an American flag - but that thing is gaudy. I'm not sure what these people are thinking but it's their money and if the people that live around it don't care - neither do I.
