Me and Dad heading down June 28-30. Got comped rooms at Island View. We ate at McElroy’s Harbor House last year and was fantastic. Remind me of good places to eat between Biloxi and Bay St. Louis.

The bar upstairs at the Rack House is a pretty interesting spot for Bourbon drinking…they also serve dinner up there.
The Jourdan River Steamer is a decadent place for steamed seafood, they have giant King crabs that are a real treat.
Pass Cigars is an interesting little hang out for beers and a cigar, you can bring your own hard liquor in.
Fatsumo is right there if you want some sashimi or sushi.
Thorny Oyster has a slick bar and damn good burger (cobia crudo was insanely good last time we went) in BSL…and there may be a good place or three to see live music…upstairs at Triple Tails can be fun. Trapanis if you want a more traditional southern seafood dinner.
White Pillars is the best place on the coast, eating in the bar is a better setting for the two of y’all…if you make reservations.

A little update for y’all. Biloxi and Gulfport were packed. Traffic on Beach Blvd was pretty busy, but the closer you got to Gulfport it started thinning out. Island View and Beach View were both sold out. Alot of out of towners got comped free rooms. Met quite a few Louisiana baws, mostly from Madisonville.
Whatever reason Dad didn’t want to go to the non casino restaurants and eat the buffet, I told him it was a bad idea. Breakfast was good, dinner not so much. He said he won’t make that mistake again. We hit about 6 different casinos. Island View and Boomtown were the lucky spots. I managed to get up $500. Dad took a good hit. I rolled good and he didn’t. Sometimes that’s the way it goes. Overall, I’d say it was 6/10. My bed was comfy and the pool was relaxing.
Walrus: Went to the Beau. No poker games going on there. I don’t think it’s that popular down there, but I’m not there on the weekends either.
