Drop older daughter off at golf camp in Stillwater then heading out with the little one for a tee time in Tulsa - never been before but looking for any BBQ / Mexican or burger joint recommendations in Tulsa area :). Always get the best suggestions in this board… Thanks again

What course are you playing?

Below is a post I put in someone’s PGA Tulsa trip thread…

quote:

Where are you guys staying b-rab? I live in the metro and will be there tomorrow to follow Daly at 8 and then catch up to Woods, Jordan, and Rory.

Any particular food you guys like?

Palace Cafe
Flemings
Nola’s
Fat Guy’s Burger Bar
Bull in the Alley
Valkyrie

Most of those are downtown. If you’re staying in another area, let me know and I’ll throw out more Rec’s.

Also add…for Italian I like Mondo’s.

Braum's is an OK tradition. It's primarily an ice cream store (recommend the peanut butter cup) that has a market attached and also sells food.

In Stillwater, Eskimo Joe's is well known, but if you are there at breakfast, Just Wafflin', is fantastic.

Age?

Cool spot near the river called the "gathering place" lots to do there.... when I had to go to Tulsa for work I ran that area and its nice and chill...they have plenty of activities. really cool spot.

Gathering Place

As far as just regular food...I thought Mother Road Market was a cool spot to grab a bite. Lots of diff food in there, not far from the University of Tulsa campus too if you wanted to check that out.

Mother Road Market

For pizza Andolini's

My go to was Chicken and the Wolf

They have other food spots in there Mexican, BBQ, etc.

I know other will rec better stuff, but while in Tulsa those were my go to spots. I kept it simple.

Rose District downtown BA has quite a few good options. I like Main Street Tavern. In the Raw is a good sushi joint. Kind of outside of town heading towards Forest Ridge is a good BBQ joint called Smokies. The Nook off of E 81st is a good brewery to stop in at.

Where is she staying? I usually put employees/customers up over by Bass Pro at Stoney Creek Hotel. There’s a decent Mexican joint and Charlestons within walking distance of that hotel.

If you can get on at Karsten Creek, I would stay in Stillwater.

That’s over by Stoney Creek around Bass Pro. Charlestons and the Mexican joint call Los Cabo’s aren’t bad options that are very close to her.

The Rose District locations I noted above will be about a 15 min drive or Uber from her hotel.
