I’m on the fence with this whole Sharpe deal. In a way, this reminds me of the Mitchell Robinson situation with less red flags.

Both Uber athletic freaky guys that didn’t play college ball. Both somewhat had character concerns, but at their core are probably actually good kids. (I can say this more about Mitch, than Sharpe). I have less insight on Sharpe personally. My bro played against Mitch in high school, so I know more about him.

Mitch was actually 1-2 years older than Sharpe when he got drafted. Mitch has panned as a quality nba role player despite the weirdness in college and playing a much different role in High School than he does in the NBA and he’s not quite in the same tier of Sharpe as a prospect.

Mitch got picked early round 2, so the risk reward aspect was different as well.

You really have to be sure about a kid to pick him top 10.

But what I am trying to outline here is this situation isn’t completely unprecendented and it’s worked out pretty well recently. The only thing preventing Mitch from being a surefire Top 10 in a redraft of his class, has been some unfortunate injuries.

The face to face interviews are what I would put the most Stock into in terms of making this decision if Sharpe is there at 8. Nothing else matters. He has the talent. Are you comfortable with the person? If you are, you take him. If not, you trade out of the pick.
