Random Thoughts

After the absolutely embarrassing a$$-kicking we got from UF, this program is at a crossroads of sorts and we need to keep winning and ramp it back up. In no particular order:

Recruiting. If you're Loston, Ferrell, Bostic, Debose, Wooten, etc do you still come to LSU if we're getting embarrassed by the likes of UF, UGA, 'Bama, and heaven forbid second rate programs like SC? What happens with Loston if Muschamp gets the nod at Clemson and our DB's continue to look bad and while getting torched? That's an example of just a few of the OOS guys, but what about guys like Randle if 'Bama keeps on rolling and we don't? There's alot at stake, guys, don't fool yourselves.

Anybody see the revised Top 32 projected draft picks? We had 2 or 3 guys in that group at the beginning of the season. We now have none. 'Bama had 1 or 2, they now have 3 or 4. Again, what does this do to recruiting compared to where we've been in this category?

Did Les ever have a top 10 team at OSU? The season's still early and alot of games to be played, but OSU right now is ranked 8, 8, 10 the best they've been since well before Les. We're ranked 13, 14, 12 after coming off of all those recruiting classes and a BCSNC. Say what you want about quality of opponents; I think AU and MSU "quality" speak for themselves, no need to go into UNT, and Appy. State. We're pushing our lowest ranking since the "head up my a$$ dreaming of the NFL" season of 2004 with Nicky.

If you replace a guy who wasn't winning and win quickly with "his" guys, you're the better coach. If you replace a guy who was winning big and win with his guys, but start losing with yours, you were winning with his guys and he's the better coach. Seems where there might be 2 examples where Les is on the short end of the stick both times.

Refer back to topic "Random Thoughts". Nothing more, nothing less except I'm saying what many are thinking without pointing it out. The sky is not falling, but there is a hurricane churning many days out and we're in the very wide "cone of possibility" at this point. Just sayin'
