Any surprises being left off?

It's been difficult getting travel rosters all season. I would guess there aren't any surprise omissions though.
We have about 13 pitchers we seem to feel comfortable using on weekends. That would leave 14 spots for position players.
This is my guess for the roster:
Floyd
Collins
Reyzelman
Vietmeier
Shaffer
Gervase
Dutton
Hasty
Taylor
Hilliard
Cooper
Fontenot
Money
Crews
Morgan
Berry
Doughty
Dugas
Pearson
Stevenson
Jobert
Cranford
McManus
Travinski
Bianco
Merrifield
Thompson
If Dugas is unable to dress due to injury, I think Leto get's that spot.

Where is Hellmers? Did he leave the team? Hurt?
He looked promising as a possible starter last year.

He hasn't been very effective and while I don't remember for sure, it would surprise me if he pitched in an SEC game this year.

Good catch, that's what happens when I go from memory

What about Di Giacomo?
Several outstanding Freshmen least year that just aren't getting much playing time.
Did they just not progress? Is the JJ wanting to play "his" guys?

Hellmers was a midweek pitcher last year. He had a few terrible outings and fell down the depth Chart. The regression of Garrett Edwards is the one I would think most people are shocked about. He did really well at times last year and saved our bullpen last year in the Regional.

What about him? He hasn't been playing, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't been on the SEC roster lately.

I made a list based on playing time patterns in SEC games.

No good enough. Nature of the beast

I think you're spot on or pretty close to it. Shaffer hasn't been that great - but doesn't hurt to have an arm to use in a blowout situation and save the other guys.

He threw 5 innings in May (his first action since mid-March) and only walked 1 and gave up 2 runs across those 5 appearances. In the 2 SEC games, he didn't give up a run in 2.2 innings.
He's actually only given up 7 runs all season. He's been scored on in 3 of 11 appearances. 5, 1, and 1. After the first game when he gave up 5 runs, he's been good enough.

If he’s healthy, I’d want him as a defensive sub and pinch runner.

Don’t need him for either of those

Are you putting Stevenson in that role?
