Hey everyone -
Slated to head down to Playa on Sunday-Thursday. The TS should be out of the area, but scattered storms are on the forecast pretty much all week. I don't usually monitor the weather down there, is this particularly concerning? I have a refundable trip and can shift gears and head to PUJ. Thoughts?

I feel like this is the case pretty much all summer anywhere on the Gulf Coast. May or may not happen.

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm thinking. My flight is refundable and I can book to PUJ, but this late flights are not cheap at all.

I'll be there Sunday thru Friday. Our last trip was a similar forecast and we never got any appreciable rain. I think the 40% chance is the baseline standard forecast. Although, I could be wrong.

We're going back to Beloved. We went 5 years ago and have tried to go back twice, but freaking COVID blocked us.

It was a great trip 5 years ago, the resort & staff were awesome, we're hoping it's still top notch. If you're looking for a chill vacation, Beloved definitely hits the mark. It's only 88 rooms, so even at capacity, it's not very crowded.

That's the forecast every day in the summer if you live on the gulf.

I grew up in the panhandle, it was always 20% chance of rain every day. I worked @ P'cola beach and some days it'd be beautiful on the island & raining like hell across the bridge.
