Orvis NOT bending a knee

I have several fly reels and rods from them. They’ve always been a company focused on the outdoors and nothing else.

Crazy concept these days.

It’s all centered around conservation efforts which I don’t have a problem with.

What specifically do you have a problem with? Because your link doesn’t say what you think it does.

So them posting an ad for Father's Day, which is this month, is them not bending the knee? I'm not sure I follow

I don't specifically have an issue with that, but help ALL people not just one group. They also "help" women fly fish too. And go out of their way to hire those two groups specifically.

They're a bit woke in my opinion.

They can do whatever they want and it's no big deal to me either way, but let's not try to say this company is some sort of Unwoke Warrior.

I disagree but I do see your point.

You can also click on their link of recent hirings and see what the last 6 hires look like. Almost all are women which, again, is OK but I doubt any of them were avid fly fishermen previously and were most likely hired specifically for their genders.

I'll just leave it as I don't believe they haven't already "bent a knee" in other areas.

This is clearly them bending the knee at the height of the BLM movement for plausible cover from hate. It goes beyond “help blacks fish”.
