Turf field is good for us. All true hops makes life easier on Thompson and Doughty. It makes only throws from Thompson that we have to worry about. Defense wasn't a major issue on Vandy's turf.

He could also be crying about the park size, but on the hitting side it should be advantage LSU regardless. We have the power to run it out, and can also hit gap to gap. Bigger field means less bombs given up by our pitchers as well.

Yep. But they don’t have a Blake Money.

If they throw their Friday guy against us, they'll throw Jack Myers.

If they throw the best matchup against us, they'll throw John Bezdicek.

I'm going to assume they'll throw Bezdicek because that would give them their best chance to win on Friday and Saturday. He's experienced. He's a grad transfer from D2 Southwest Minnesota State. He pitched 4 years there, plus 3 summers in the Northwoods League.

I don't know what his stuff looks like, but he's been pretty effective. Striking out more than 1 per inning with a WHIP under 1.2. He's a little homer prone, but I don't know anything about their park or how it compares to Southern Miss' park.
