Agreed, but there will never be a 100 percent full proof system that catches all. This is why I say train and arm all of the faculty, it will at least give you a chance.

Not disagreeing, but take this armed teacher in an inner city high school, put him/her in one of the many situations you see on the internet of a teacher being beaten up by a student, then the teacher shoots the student in self defense. Now can you imagine the backlash?
Armed teacher kills troubled "child". The riots would be epic.

I’m sure it happened fast, seems like having well trained, experienced armed security on site would have at least reduced the carnage, maybe even prevented it in the first place.
