A few years ago in Lafayette, LA, a psychopath shot up a movie theater on Johnston Street. A few days before the shooting, he attempted to buy a gun, but he had a flag on his background check due to a domestic violence incident. So, the gun store refused to sell him a gun. He still managed to shoot and kill multiple people.

More than 60% of guns used on crimes were not obtained legally because, GASP, CRIMINALS DO NOT FOLLOW GUN LAWS!!!!

As for mass shootings, nearly all of them are in places where carrying a gun is illegal, but security to actually screen for guns is non-existent. Shootings take place in these areas BECAUSE of these factors. Shooters shoot where their victims are least likely to shoot back. Because criminals don’t follow laws while victims of crime typically do, only the mass shooters have guns at the places they attack.
