Kids were dying of the same thing before today and you didn't give a shite. Kids will continue to die tomorrow of the same thing and you'll be back to not giving a shite.

You're touched today because they all came in one big act. Pick off one or two here, two or three there, no one really notices, no one really cares. Have 18-20 die a year from random assholes firing indiscriminate rounds for someone stepping on their shoes.....not a fricking peep.

Let the "Wow!" story show up to tug at the heart strings and now....now we must do something....anything!

Nevermind that every other law we have hasn't changed a thing, throw some more laws that either can't or won't be enforced at the problem. That'll do the trick......I'm sure of it!
