I am a PNP student beginning clinical this spring. On the look for a preceptor, as this can be a lengthy process. Does anyone know of a PNP, or pediatrician who would be willing to let me follow them, beginning Spring 2022?

Interesting concept. So you are telling me in order to be granted independent practice rights you are tasked with finding some random in the community to teach you? There is not some sort of governing body that oversees and standardizes who is teaching you folks?

I believe the profession is still in its infancy, isn't it? It took the flexner report for physicians to get their shite together.

It’s a total joke the lack of exposure/clinical experience some nurse practitioners get. I’ve worked with some who were going join a surgical field and had never removed staples or sutures.
