What Hatfield noted might have some truth to it.
They also might be just trying to take the thinking out of the seat time guesstimate for the dumbass hostesses. When the manager gets his arse chewed out several times from people waiting longer that the time given, they might just figure it’s better to give a standard time frame that will be sure to give a cushion
