There comes a point where the human mind can't react to the speed of a fastball...A tipping point...
but that's always been the case...
And there's no evidence that pitchers are just going to outpace hitters in perpetuity. Arms aren't just going to be better because of the fallacy of human advancement in short time frames ( if we're playing baseball in 10,000 years...maybe we can talk about changing the rules but Gatorade and needle juice ain't going to get you there.)
Baseball has always tackled the yin and yang between pitchers and hitters.
Sometimes one is up, something one is down...and what does baseball do...lowering or raising the mound to even the field.
