Infant Mortality Rate 4 times that of 2019 (Scotland)

I remember reading about this late in 2020, but these number are still elevated in March.
More info needs to be provided on cause of deaths, patterns, etc.
I wonder what is going on in the US?

“The neonatal mortality rate was 5.1 per 1,000 live births in September and 4.6 per 1,000 in March, against an average of 1.49 per 1000 in 2019,” reports the newspaper.

It's such a small number of babies that anything can skew the figures upwards.
