Nahh, its chicken shite whether it works or not. It also burns one of our more reliable Sunday arms.

On a weekend in which we didn’t need him. Because Floyd had a nice outing in game 1, and game 2 turned into a laugher before we wasted a bunch of arms, we had a lot of our best arms rested. This changed the coach’s thinking on his Sunday pitching, and Dutton was not part of the plan. So he used him for a little deception.

I think this is the point that most people haven’t considered. Dutton has been solid all year long, if this was your plan from the get go then start a different righty then go to hasty early. By starting Dutton and pulling him he’s unavailable for the rest of the game
