We had just arrived back from annual training. One of my troops had been tracking the score after we landed and called out updates while everyone waited in the parking lot for rides. I was pretty much on the hook to stay until everyone was gone and Mrs. Midnight rolled in with the gang to pick me up in the 8th inning. I got my stuff loaded and started the drive home. I put on the game and heard 1 or 2 batters prior to Morris. When Morris came up, I told Mrs. Midnight ("He's been hurt most of the year. He got injured during the Olympic trials.") I think it was Hawthorne, but one of the announcers mentioned no homeruns for Morris that season. I said to Mrs. Midnight, "Well, he's due, then." *dink*
