Because nobody wants to pay good money to stupid people

They don't even want to pay money to smart/qualified people. Check out jobs in the tech/IT industry. They want you to have a CVS receipt's list of qualifications but want to low ball the hell out of you at the same time.

My wife, for some ungodly reason, wanted Taco Bell the other night around 10 pm. Off I went.
This Taco Bell always has, from about 8 pm to midnight, a line of cars out to the street, that moves very slowly. That night was no exception.
From the time i pulled into the line, to the time I left the drive thru window with my order... 27 minutes.
When I was waiting at the window, it appeared the store had two employees working. Both were cursing each other out. I don't know the inner workings of the Taco Bell operations manual, but I would assume it calls for more than two employees.
Given the line of cars every night that I see... I have to assume what I observed was a nightly occurance.
Yet... every night... line of cars.
So Taco Bell might be willing to throw another dollar an hour at a potential third worker / fourth worker. But what incentive do they have to take major steps to fix the problem?
Clearly, their customer base has decided to continue going there, despite these "issues".
