I think Lofton ends up at UH and Phillips commits to LSU. If Phillips doesn’t commit on Tuesday, then that is a sign something has changed and coaches are maybe feeling good on Lofton.

I might be in the minority here, but I like Phillips for this last spot better than Lofton, if I get to choose between them.

Lofton's a terrific player, don't get me wrong, but what he won't do for you is protect the rim. He isn't tall enough for that.

Career 0.7 blocks per game playing Conference USA ball tells you that as a 5, people are going to shoot over him. Now, he'll get rebounds for sure - but we took Kendal Coleman, who's longer and is also a prolific rebounder.

Whereas Phillips IS that rim protector. He can't score the way Lofton can, yet, but he'll block shots and play interior defense without fouling. Plus he can play above the rim, which is something that's a nice asset when you have a point guard like Juice Hill who's an alley-oop machine.

Tomorrow could be a great day if the buzz out there about Phillips pans out.

Wit chu on all but 2 words, Mac!
The only people who know whether he'll foul a little or a lot are the Refs and the SEC office!

I'll take the over on Hill to Wilkinson Alley Oops at 1 per half.
