Those were all very good teams so it stands to reason he could put up even better numbers vs the lower SEC schools and in the non conference.

Assuming he keeps his shot volume & efficiency. Both unlikely

And they didn’t play Tennessee, but he did go 4-18 vs Auburn.

It depends on which games you watched I guess. When McMahon got hired I went watch their NCAA tourney games. He looked great in round 1 then looked just ok vs St. Peter’s. If you go watch his career high 39 point game he looks like an all-American, if you watch him vs Memphis or Tennessee he looks like a solid SEC inside player. To me his game vs Auburn is the best indicator because he went up against a huge and talented front line with the best interior defender in the country and still had a solid game, 12pts, 8rebs. That’s the one that kind of sticks out to me.

Yes I did. He had solid outings vs upper level schools but we’re talking about a 4-5 game sample size. You can’t make an absolute evaluation off of 4 games vs upper level opponents and a large sample size off of mid major competition. What’s missing is mid to lower SEC level opponents. The two largest sample sizes during a season are non conf, which is akin to mid major opponents and mid to low tier SEC games which we don’t have any data on.

Ok, he’s not 6-10, I think you’re right he looks closer to 6-8. Very quick, better off the dribble than Days and Eason were, good explosion, not a high riser though, good balance, physical strength somewhere between Days and Eason. Can make any shot, good inside, good on the spot up and saw him make a couple fade aways in the post. Very good player, polished and well rounded but definitely a forward not a center.

11 points each, 9 rebounds between them. Eason was 5-12 from the field, Days was 4-14.

I agree...KJ is a 4 to me. I also agree he doesn't look 6-10. I'd guess about 6-8 as well. I'm sure McMahon sold him on coming to LSU to better hone his game for the NBA against better competition.

I could definitely see LSU trying to bring in a 5 with one of the last 2 scholarships remaining. Maybe the incoming freshman Reed or Coleman could play the 5 if not.

Cornelius looks like a project to me.

Hard to tell if Reed is legit 6-9 cause he’s got the high hair but he’s pretty long and he can handle the ball and play away from the basket as well. Coleman I don’t think is physical enough to guard 5s but I think we’ll play with 2 forwards rather than with a 5. I think we’ll be fine offensively up front cause they can all provide space it’s just defensively can they cause misses inside is the question imo.

Btw 7 foot 5 guy just entered the portal from western Kentucky.

Agree with your points. Reed looks like a legit 6-9 to me, but the hair is a challenge.

Would have no problem with that giant shot blocker from WKU coming on aboard.

Most college teams don’t play a true center and haven’t for years. Most teams have to guys closer to 4’s that they just call forwards

I agree. But I have no problem with having a true 5 down low that can play defense and block shots when needed.

Efton didn't have the strength to provide what I'm looking for.

Watching Murray St. vs Auburn right now and KJ maybe bigger than we think. I’m watching him matchup with Kessler and Cardwell and he’s just slightly shorter than Cardwell. He’s pushing Kessler around, I think he’ll be fine defending inside.

KJ was a huge get. He's going to be fine. He's big enough, he's polished, and he's experienced. You don't get that with a typical one and done.
