Hacked fb/ way to recover?

Long story short:
Family member deactivates fb months ago.
Family member’s Facebook shows up recently with different name and picture, but same account. It’s a Bengali hacker, using all previous photos they have and spewing nonsense.
The account is clearly something designed around trying to gain followers.
Family member has near 15 years of photos on there that they want to make sure there is access someway.
Family member has completely forgotten the original email address used to make the account. I’ve tried to help every way possible through reporting, guess work, etc. Can’t speak to a human or get anything further.
Googling shows the next step may only be to hire an “ethical hacker”. Does anyone have any experience with this? (If this is not allowed please delete admins)

Probably a wasted cause. You need to ask them what their password was and if they use a multiple step login. Chances are their other accounts are at risk too.

Contact facebook.
They have a retrieval process where a license must be submitted to get an account back.
