What a dumb flawed logic

There is a fricking problem in Baton Rouge. It's systemic and has been for decades. You can't undo that shite by inventing an imaginary border and renaming part of the city. The spread will continue. "St. George" will eventually have the same issues as well.

As ugly as it sounds to some Baton Rouge needs gentrification in the north. Purge the corrupt bullshite that fricks up progress. I'm just bummed that it will never be done. Politics are too fricking corrupt in this town.

Put your money where your mouth is if you would be able to help with gentrification in the north.

Nobody is looking to move to NBR for gentrification purposes

They can have their shithole of drugs, murder, single parent households, and violent crime. NBR is beyond salvageable and will never be saved in anyones lifetime.

I understand some of your post, but I think it’s important to point out that St. George is not part of the city. That’s been a point of confusion because the local media and TogetherBR (or whatever it’s called) has pushed that false narrative of a divided city since day one.

St. George is unincorporated area in EBR. Not part of the city of Baton Rouge.

More importantly, the time for all of us to voice our opinions was years ago, before the election. The election was held, and the people decided what they wanted. It should be over. Regardless of your stance on this topic, anyone who wants to live in a democracy should want Broome to lose this case.

Just the facts, ma'am. Clearly your "flawed" Democrat emotions rule you.

Except the border has been there for years and the area that is St George was never a part of the city to begin with. You're really misinformed and ill equipped to argue this honestly.

So. Go gentrify it then retard. No one is stopping you. See how that works out for you. NOLA was gentrified. How’s that working out for them? Broome is a Teedy wannabe.

The problem in Baton Rouge is that no one tries to improve their own neighborhood. Too many just leave for greener pastures.

St George is trying to improve their area. Good for them.

And shame on Broom for being against this. The people voted. Their will should not be ignored. No re-dos for this election.

You are a moron.

St. George is NOT seceding or separating from the City of BT BECAUSE IT IS NOT, AND HAS NEVER BEEN, PART OF THE CITY OF BR! It's called the "unincorporated area" for a reason.

It is also NOT seceding from EBR (although, I wish it was).

All PARISH taxes and services (water/sewerage) will continue to be paid. School taxes will stop going to EBRPSS once the new school district is established.

You are taking about an area that spans several zip codes. The answer isn’t to “gentrify” north Baton Rouge. It isn’t everyone else’s responsibility to make an area of town better for its residents which isn’t exactly solved by buying their property to force them elsewhere.

NBR was primarily blue collar white people until a few decades ago. I can remember when Istrouma and Glen Oaks High Schools were overwhelmingly white.
