Could a Cock fan maybe give some good stats here? I know that Garcia is starting after Smelley had a poor performance vs. UK. Nothing new for SOS to play musical qb's. I have seen Smelley stink it up...also have seen him light it up. The latter just so happens when he comes off the bench and tries to lead his team back. He's very effective in that role. Remember the SC/Ark game in '06 (came on after we edged TN)?

What are his stats - TD vs. INT and yards per game when he's off the bench as opposed to when he starts? Also, SC fans...will he definitely be in the game Saturday?

I am too lazy to compile stats from games he came in vs. games he started but I will say that lots of fans feel as though he plays better off the bench because of lowered expectations. He started at Ole Miss though, and that was a huge game for us to get back on track and they just beat Florida, and he had a career day on the road. So I think its a bad theory and he is just streaky no matter if starting or coming off the bench. sometimes he is lights out and sometimes he looks JV.

HBC has said Garcia will get every chance to go the distance and remain the starter. So that tells me Garcia will NOT be yanked after the first bad decision or INT. However, a handful of mistakes and with USC falling behind Smelley could definitely be called upon.

He won't definitely be in the game. If Garcia looks good, he'll be given the chance to go the distance. Smelley didn't come off the bench against Arkansas in 2006, that was Blake Mitchell. This year Smelley is 108-180 for 1276 yards 10 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Garcia is our quarterback of the future. Unfortunately, he is a redshirt freshman and I'm a little anxious about how he'll play in his first start. He is very mobile and has a rocket for an arm. Should be a fun game in Columbia

I just watched ya'lls game at Kentucky.

McKinley and Cook are your go to guys, but I sure didn't see anything from the backfield.

It will be very interesting to see how well our D can do against the pass coming off this past game. Should be great experience on the road.

Yeah, our running backs are average at best, and our OL cannot run block. McKinley and Cook are big for our offense but look out for Jason Barnes. He's a redshirt freshman. He's a big target we like to use in the red zone.

Ahh, you're right. My bad. I don't know why I thought that.

Look at all of these Cocks comin' out of the woodwork.
