We stayed at the Whitehall Hotel. It's a boutique hotel and was very reasonable. As stated you don't need uber, trains go to both stadiums. If you can go to Sox game first. Wrigley is a throwback in time and you don't want to ruin the Sox game, experience is just not the same.
WHITEHALL HOTEL
Center building, downtown, across street from the Hancock Tower. Take train from ORD and get off a couple blocks from hotel. We've used it several times and have enjoyed it each time w/o any complaints.
