Letting Lonzo walk is one of Griff best moves here. Lonzo was on this team for 2 seasons and we couldn't even make the play in he needed to go.

We got a 2nd for Lonzo and we gave up a top 15 pick for Graham. They were both restricted free agents and you saying he played that the right way??

it is astounding to me how many dumbasses on this board do not see this, then tried to justify it by saying "well we suck and won't make the playoffs so we really aren't giving up that 1st anymore". B/c of this asinine move, we no longer have the Mil 25 1st. And no i don't think that pick will be any better than 24th, but the fact of the matter is that it is an asset that was given away when it didn't need to be, just like trading down in the draft or giving up the Lakers 1st (which we lucked into keeping now), whichever you deem was necessary to move Bledsoe, when just a few weeks later Memphis is able to trade Bledsoe for Pat Beverly, and didn't give up anything. His offseason moves have been horrible since he got here outside of signing Redick and trading Jrue, and you could argue that trade didn't really pan out as nicely as we would have liked it to, as we have had to give up assets to get rid of the assets we got in that trade.
I am looking forward to a very quiet offseason that he can't frick up again, i hope.

Griff had an offseason so bad that he was on the hot seat. IF not for lucking into Herb, and then making the CJ trade, you could easily see him getting fired this offseason. And i don't care what team it is or who the GM is, when you draft a 2nd rounder and he becomes a legit starter, you lucked out big time. We've got a 2nd rounder and an undrafted rookie closing out playoff games.

It is nice to have all this luck going our way right now, and that's something that is helping Griff look really good right now, and i'm ok with that b/c luck happens, and it's nice for it to finally fall our way, but don't let that luck make you forget all the stupid offseason moves Griff has made. This luck has afforded him a least two seasons of job security, and i hope he recognizes that and makes the necessary adjustments to continue to be successful in his job. It appears he's taken a step back and letting others help make decisions, and that has been very helpful b/c he is not the smartest guy in the room, and i'm hoping he's finally realizing that b/c he never did before over here or at his previous GM job.

And i agree that he has set out from day 1 to build a certain culture, and while that failed miserably with SVG, he has without a doubt righted that ship, and that's probably more important than anything a GM can do, and i applaud him for that.
