My office is in a complex with probably 40 people. We only have 3 toilet stalls all in one bathroom. Men were shitting all over the seat and never cleaning the toilet, even though there is a brush next to each toilet.

We put up a sign saying if you shite, clean up after yourself you lazy bum. Now the toilet is always clean. Some people just need to be shamed.

Similar happened at my last company. Piss and shite everywhere, and toilets were overflowing regularly one summer.

The CEO eventually sent a company-wide email that said we had to sign-out and sign-in bathroom passes with the corporate greeter like children since we couldn't act like adults. He added that if anyone got busted leaving a mess in a stall again, he would fire them himself.
