and not a single player from the hitters team threw a punch at the pitcher after that… weak

This!

How do you watch that happen to your teammate in front of your dugout and not start IMMEDIATELY throwing haymakers at the pitcher. Maybe the batter’s teammates knew he was a douchebag and thought he had it coming?

Baseball players are generally pussies in these situations. Watch any MLB "brawl". It's a bunch of "Hold me back, bro," with no intention of doing anything. You might see an occasional kick every now and again, but never any punches.

Also, it's JUCO baseball. They aren't there for their teammates. They are there to get recruited to D1. And breaking your arm in a scrum doesn't help with that.

This isn't you protecting your BFF since grammar school that you've been on the same team as since tee-ball, and you still play slow pitch softball together. They are strangers with different--sometimes even competing--goals.
